this is civilization! there has to be sliced bread!!

we went to the supermarket today which is a bit of a challenge. we have to use a german dictionary to figure out what we're buying, not to mention Autumn is vegetarian and so we have to check labels for that too. so, we don't have time to go to the store everyday and we buy a bunch of food. we kinda scared the locals. they don't buy a bunch of food at once. I think they buy enough for one day and then just go every morning. I cooked dinner this evening. Baked Ziti. fantastisch! Frau Fuhrmann takes us when she goes, but she doesn't know any english, so we both act things out a bit with each other. must be funny to watch.
